Loft blow for Vale
Port Vale will be without Doug Loft for their crucial trip to promotion rivals Torquay.
The midfielder was this week ruled out for the remainder of the season having ruptured his hamstring in last Saturday`s 1-1 draw against Southend.
Defender Lee Collins and midfielder Gary Roberts are available for selection despite being caught up in an alleged incident at a Stafford nightclub in midweek.
An official statement released by the club read: "These allegations will be fully investigated by the club and dealt with internally, as deemed appropriate."
Centre-back John McCombe was withdrawn safely in the second half of last weekend`s disappointing draw as he risked a 10th yellow card of the season and a subsequent two-match ban.
That means, aside from Loft, caretaker manager Mark Grew has a full-strength squad at his disposal for what will be an important fixture in Vale`s bid for a play-off place.
