Port Vale have signed winger Jemal Johnson on a month-long loan from MK Dons. The 25-year-old wide man has been brought to the club as cover for Lewis Haldane who trained for the first time on Thursday following his severe reaction to an insect bite over the summer, although he is not expected to return to first-team action for a couple of weeks. Johnson started his professional career at Blackburn before moving to Wolves in 2006 and then MK Dons a year later. He made 20 appearances for the League One club over the opening months of last season, going on to spend the second half of the campaign on loan at Stockport.
