Hard work ahead for Vale - Glover

Vale fans again made their feelings known after another poor show by their side at the Fraser Eagle Stadium. Andy Procter headed in his third goal of the campaign in the fourth minute before midfielder Jimmy Ryan was on the end of a well-worked corner routine midway through the first half. "We never competed in the first half and we were poor. It was men against boys and it was always an uphill battle after conceding an early goal," said Glover. "It was poor defending for both goals and we had nothing to lose in the second half being 2-0 down but we couldn't get a goal back. "You have to compete at places like this from the start and we never did. We won on Saturday but we just can't seem to carry that momentum into the next game. We can't follow a good result up. "We have a lot of hard work in front of us again. We work hard in training but we don't seem to be able to carry it onto every game but hopefully we can put a run together."
