`Happy Micky' eyes cash windfall

Port Vale manager Micky Adams wants the club "to earn a few quid" with a plum third round FA Cup tie after a 1-0 second round win over Accrington. A first-half goal from Justin Richards secured Vale a place in the third round for the first time in five seasons. But it needed a terrific goal-line clearance by Kris Taylor from substitute Chris Turner's shot in the dying seconds to secure Vale's 13th clean sheet of the campaign and deny Accrington a replay. Adams said: "I'm not miserable Micky, I'm happy Micky. We're in the hat for the third round and I really hope we get a plum-tie and make some money. "If it had been a league game I would have been disappointed with our performance, but the only thing that matters in the Cup is you go through. "I said I would accept a scrappy 1-0 before the game and that's more or less what we got."
