Griffith blow for Vale

Anthony Griffith will miss Port Vale`s trip to Burton through suspension having been sent off in Saturday`s derby triumph over Crewe. The midfielder was shown yellow after just 107 seconds for a foul on Ashley Westwood and he failed to last the full 90 minutes, committing a second bookable offence nine minutes from time when his handball led to the Alex`s consolation penalty. Griffith will now serve a one-match ban as Vale look to build on the 2-1 victory and record back-to-back wins for the first time since the end of September. Manager Micky Adams kept faith with his 3-5-2 formation for the derby encounter and could well do so again at the Pirelli Stadium after it again proved effective. Forward Jake Speight is still waiting for his debut having failed to feature against Crewe after arriving on loan from Bradford on Friday. Rob Taylor (hamstring) and fellow winger Lewis Haldane (ankle) remain sidelined.
