Grew hails Martin improvement
Martin was handed a chance to impress in the absence of regular stopper Joe Anyon, who has now recovered from a broken leg which he suffered at Chesterfield in March.
But Grew has revealed Martin reported back for pre-season training overweight and told the Sentinel: "I was disappointed with Chris when he came back for pre-season because he'd put weight on and I let him know.
"But he's worked hard to solve that problem. When Stuart Tomlinson (the former Crewe goalkeeper) came in on trial that really livened him up.
"He's worked hard with me throughout pre-season and, since the start of the season, he's been consistent."
