Glover, who has spent 18 years at Vale Park as a player, coach and manager, has turned down the club's youth coach role and opted to move on and have the final 12 months of his contract paid up. In his seven months in charge Glover claimed just 12 wins in 39 games, and he told the club's official website: "Having thought about it I've decided to move on and seek a new challenge. "I have had a long association with the and have enjoyed both the highs and lows that the club has experienced over the years. "Despite the circumstances, I would like to wish the club good fortune in the future." Vale chairman Bill Bratt added: "The club wishes him (Glover) well and hopes he finds success with whatever he chooses to do next."
