Geohaghon set for Vale bow

Exodus Geohaghon is in line for his Port Vale debut as the out-of-sorts Burslem outfit look to get their promotion charge back on track at home to Barnet. Geohaghon completed a season-long loan from Peterborough on Monday morning and is likely to move straight into the heart of defence with Gareth Owen serving a one-match ban for his dismissal against Cheltenham on Saturday. Skipper Owen saw red for pulling back Robins striker Wes Thomas and joins suspended midfielder Gareth Roberts in the stands as he sits out the second game of his two-match ban for accruing 10 bookings this term. Winger Rob Taylor will be assessed but should be okay having been replaced 14 minutes from time at the weekend nursing tight calves and a bit of cramp. Forward Sean Rigg will also be monitored having missed out altogether with a thigh problem, while Marc Richards (thigh) and Doug Loft (calf) continue to miss out. Louis Dodds and Sam Morsy recovered from slight injuries to take their places on the bench against Cheltenham, while there were debuts for loan duo Romaine Sawyers and Kayleden Brown. All are in contention again as Vale prepare to come up against Tommy Fraser, who signed for Barnet last week having parted ways with the Valiants by mutual consent.
