Port Vale boss Jim Gannon is confident he will have at least two new faces in his squad for Saturday`s home clash against Cheltenham.
Gannon was already without Marc Richards and Doug Loft for Saturday`s 2-1 defeat at Crewe before also losing the services of attacking midfielders Louis Dodds and Sean Rigg ahead of the derby clash.
To make matters worse, Gary Roberts is now ruled out for two games having collected his 10th booking of the season while Sam Morsy also left Gresty Road struggling with injury.
"Straight away you are thinking you have got to get bodies in," Gannon told Vale`s official website. "We have got a big month ahead in terms of the amount of games and demands it is going to put on the current squad.
"Given where we are in the window, things are starting to hot up and people are starting to recognise they have opportunities to go out. So we are fielding more and more phone calls and making more and more calls and I am confident we will have two bodies in for the next game.
"I`d like to have more than that, I`d like to bring four or five players in and make sure we have 11 good players on the pitch and a bench full of good players as well."
