Bratt looks towards investment meeting

Port Vale chairman Bill Bratt insists he is heading into a meeting with potential investor Mike Newton with an "open mind". The New York-based businessman has travelled to England for a meeting with the Vale board on Friday, where it is understood he will present his proposals to pump up to £400,000 into the club. Bratt told The Sentinel: "We need to have a look at what the offer is, how it impacts on the club and go from there. "We haven't had an offer yet, that will come out in the presentation to the board and I am open minded about it. "We don't know what the offer will be, what the terms will be and what he wants out of it. Until we sit down with him and he goes through it, it is difficult to comment."
