Both bosses satisfied with point

Managers Paul Peschisolido and Micky Adams had few complaints with the outcome following a goalless stalemate between Burton and Port Vale at the Pirelli Stadium. Vale looked the most likely to break the deadlock. Marc Richards looked dangerous and home keeper Adam Legzdins tipped over a shot from the visiting skipper before using his legs to deny the same player. It was Vale`s third goalless draw in the last four matches and boss Adams felt his side lacked a cutting edge in the final third. "I think we looked the team most likely to score. Burton paid us a great compliment by changing their system for the first time this season to match us up, but even so I thought we got into good areas," said Adams. "The final ball maybe let us down at times but generally we looked comfortable. "Both teams worked hard for a point and I'm delighted with our work ethic. Whether it's a point gained or two points dropped is something we won't know until the end of the season. If you can't win games, you try to get a point from them and that's what we've done. "It was another great effort by a group of players who worked hard for each other and worked hard for the team. The only thing that we perhaps lacked on this occasion was a cutting edge in the final third of the pitch."
