Adams will have support in January

Adams was worked wonders to date in the transfer market on what has been somewhat of a shoestring budget, but he is desperate to strengthen in the new year to ensure Vale are challenging for a play-off place and not fighting relegation.[LNB]A potential £500,000 investment from Harlequin Property could boost his chances although talks have been dragging on for some time and it remains unclear whether a deal will be sealed before Christmas.[LNB]Vale recently reported a loss of around £280,000 for the past financial year and Bratt is keen to stress that Adams will not be handed a blank cheque, yet he can hopefully look forward to one or two fresh faces.[LNB]Bratt told BBC Radio Stoke: "He (Micky) is very good on the financial side of the club, so it's only fair that we help him. If we can help him, we will. I know that if other people come on board, they will help him as well."[LNB]He continued: "What we can't do is give him £500,000 to spend because it will bankrupt the club, but we've certainly got to back him and do as much as we can to help the manager get the players that he wants in."[LNB][LNB]
