Adams: Vale must be improving

The visitors played most of the game on the back foot against an in-form Vale side, who were aiming for a third straight victory.[LNB]Craig Davies, making his full debut on loan from Brighton, was thwarted on several occasions by busy Macclesfield keeper Jon Brain. And the former Vale stopper also made a fine save to keep out a 20-yard effort from Marc Richards.[LNB]Adams said: "There was one team trying to win the game and the other trying not to get beat. That's a compliment to us and shows we must be improving.[LNB]"The players worked their socks off and tried to pass it on a difficult surface. We made a few chances, but perhaps not as many clear chances as we might have done.[LNB]"I'm not going to criticise the players because they are working exceptionally hard and I can see the improvement in them, both individually and collectively."[LNB][LNB]
