Adams to keep faith

Micky Adams is likely to name an unchanged line-up as his table-topping Port Vale side welcome local rivals and second-placed Shrewsbury to town for a crunch September showdown. Adams` only selection poser could be whether to include Louis Dodds in his XI from the off after admitting he had made a tough decision to drop the wide man in favour of the returning Gary Roberts for Saturday`s 2-0 win over Accrington. Roberts contributed with a typically impressive display although Dodds, a late substitute, found the net within two minutes of coming on. Adams has warned his side to remain focused despite rising to the top of the League Two table, and he is expecting a tough test against a Shrews outfit who have looked equally as impressive this term. "It`s a local derby against a Shrewsbury side who are flying," he said. "They have good players. I saw them play against Stoke (in the Carling Cup) where I thought they played particularly well and they have players who can hurt you. We will be ready for it." Meanwhile, defender Lee Collins is expected to sign a new contract with the Burslem club this week.
