Adams rues lack of 'cutting edge'

Nathan Clarke's first-half overhead kick was enough to see off the Valiants, despite Marc Richards missing a fine chance for the home side.[LNB]"We had the first real chance of the game and didn't take it," said Adams.[LNB]"I told the players we would have to take our chances when they came because you don't get many against good teams.[LNB]"The other big disappointment was the way we conceded the goal. We didn't defend properly and didn't show enough aggression to get the ball clear.[LNB]"At half-time I asked my players to turn the game into a real cup tie. They did try to do that and had quite a bit of pressure, but the final ball into the box let us down on numerous occasions. We pinned them back, but you need a cutting edge and we didn't find one."[LNB][LNB]
