Adams interested in Valiants job
The 47-year-old has been out of work since leaving the Seagulls in January and was a late applicant for the vacant position at Vale Park.
Vale chairman Bill Bratt is expected to announce his new manager at the end of the week and Adams is hoping that his experience will count in his favour.
"I would like the job and I think we could be good for each other," he told the Sentinel.
"I've achieved two promotions out of this division, and although I haven't worked there for a while, it's not a challenge that would faze me."
