Adams calls for Vale consistency

Phil Jevons scored the only goal of the game with a sweet left-footed volley after 18 minutes following a goalmouth scramble, much to the delight of Shrimps boss Sammy McIlroy whose side completed a domestic double over the Valiants.[LNB]Adams said: "I think we should have got something from the game and I think anyone who was at the game would admit that.[LNB]"I was happy with the way we played in the second half, but I am not happy with our inconsistency at the minute and the soft underbelly that we have. I won't criticise players in public, but the ones who I am talking about know who they are.[LNB]"We have to learn that games start at the first whistle and not when we go a goal behind. We have some young players, but some of the senior professionals have to have a look at themselves as well if we are to keep on improving.[LNB]"We are inconsistent and if we play like we did in the second half we will win more games than we lose, but we have to go for games straight away and not when it is too late."[LNB][LNB]
