Polish fans get back to work, shun Czech practice
The number of Polish fans watching the Czechs practice has fallen dramatically since the Czech Republic beat the co-hosts 1-0 on Saturday, Czech media said Monday.
As Group A winners, the Czechs are facing Portugal in Warsaw on Thursday in the Euro 2012 quarter-final, while Poland were eliminated.
"They've probably gone to work," laughing Czech midfielder Daniel Kolar told the CTK news agency as the crowd watching Monday's morning practice had shrunk to fewer than a hundred from three thousand watching last week's sessions.
"People probably expected something different and now they're disappointed," he added as Polish flags vanished from balconies, windows, and cars throughout the southwestern city of Wroclaw.
