Platini cools venue reports

UEFA president Michel Platini has warned that talk suggesting planned co-hosts Ukraine and Poland will be stripped of the next European Championship is premature.
The two countries are scheduled to host Euro 2012 in four years time, but already the tournament has been placed in doubt by reports of serious infrastructure problems.
However speaking during the current tournament in Austria and Switzerland, Platini insists UEFA are not yet contemplating any change in venue.
"I don't want to talk about that during the European Championships," he said. "But I'm going there on July 2 to take stock of the situation.
"I know that certain people are already talking about the possibility of giving the competition to another country, which could be Spain.
"At the present moment however, that's an unfounded rumour."
