Two Spaniards, two Russians and several Poles were handed jail terms Thursday ranging from 3-5 months by Warsaw courts for hooligan violence during the Poland-Russia Euro 2012 face-off.

"Two Russians and two Spaniards were sentenced," Wojciech Malek, spokesman for a Warsaw district court said, quoted by Poland's PAP news agency.

At least four Poles were also sentenced for match-related violence, he said, noting the sentences ranged from three to five months.

Police detained 184 supporters -- including 157 Poles -- in Warsaw during a high-voltage Russia-Poland 1-1 draw in the worst violence seen so far at the Euro 2012 football championships, co-hosted by Poland and Ukraine.
