Poland striker Robert Lewandowski can only get better with the co-hosts set to begin their campaign in Friday's opening match, according to Germany star Miroslav Klose.

Lewandowski, 23, has been in fine form this season with 22 goals for Borussia Dortmund in 34 league games as his team won the German league title for the second consecutive season, also picking up the German Cup title.

"I have followed Lewandowski's progress, he is a super player and in his two years with Borussia Dortmund he has developed well," said Klose.

"He can still add another dimension to his play.

"I know how hard it is to score 22 goals in the Bundesliga, so I have tremendous respect for him."
