    Wotton eyes Argyle return

    15 Nov 2007 - 10:24:37

Plymouth Argyle captain Paul Wotton is set to return to training after almost a year on the sidelines with knee ligament damage.

Wotton, 30, has not made an appearance since damaging his anterior cruciate ligament in a Championship clash with Hull City last December.

"I have been progressing really well. I'm running at full pace, twisting and turning, forwards and backwards, heading and kicking," he told the Evening Herald.

"The knee feels really strong and I have finally come to terms with the fact it's never going to feel the same as the other one, but that doesn't mean it's any weaker. It's just different.

"It's just accepting this is how it is and it's going to be fine. My cruciate is as strong as anyone's in the squad.

"I'm very close to joining in with the first team and then it's down to me and the physios as when I think I can play a game."
