Leeds United have admitted breaching Football League rules regarding the number of loan players that can be fielded in a match day squad.
Last month the Elland Road side named six loan players in their squad that lost 2-1 at Burnley - Graham Stack, Matt Heath, Ugo Ehiogu, Tresor Kandol, Geoff Horsfield and Tony Warner.
Rules stipulate that only five on loan players can be fielded and the West Yorkshire club will now face action from the Football League.
"We can confirm that the club broke Football League regulations at Burnley," confirmed a statement on the club's official website.
"We will co-operate fully with the Football League on this matter and explain the extenuating circumstances."
