Timar targets regular place
10 Sep 2007 - 14:01:56
Plymouth Argyle defender Krisztian Timar is happy with the way he has adapted to life in England and thinks he is now ready for an extended spell in the first team.
The 27-year-old Hungarian initially moved to Home Park on loan in January, before completing a permanent £75,000 transfer from Ferencvaros in May.
He was a substitute in the Pilgrims' first three Championship games of this season, but started last wekeend's goalless draw with Leicester City and the Carling Cup wins against Wycombe and Doncaster.
He told the Plymouth Herald: "I learned a lot more about English football in the pre-season and I have got good fitness now.
"I think I had a good game against Leicester, but I can be much better. If I play more games I will improve, so that's what I'm hoping for.
"I enjoyed the game against Doncaster. We kept a clean sheet, we won and we can play a very famous opponent in West Ham in the next round."
