Hungary international Krisztian Timar has committed his future to Plymouth Argyle by agreeing a new contract with the club that will keep him at Home Park until the end of the 2010-11 campaign.
After a busy summer of arrivals and departures at the club, Timar's decision comes as a relief to Pilgrims boss Paul Sturrock.
The former Southampton and Sheffield Wednesday manager told Argyle's official website: "I'm very pleased. He's a very important player to us and it's very good to have this sorted out at this stage of pre-season.
"I know how popular Kris is with our supporters and they'll be delighted he's shown this commitment to the club.
"He came on in leaps and bounds last season and is a vastly improved player to the one who arrived at Home Park a year-and-a-half ago.
"The good thing is that I feel there's more to come from him, even more that he can add to his game, which is very pleasing."
