Plymouth Argyle boss Paul Sturrock is still on the lookout for more new players after watching his side draw their opening game of the season against Wolves 2-2.
Sturrock handed debuts to four new signings but knows his threadbare squad needs more strength in depth.
He said: "From crowd to players to management and directors at Plymouth there was an apprehension with the changeover in personnel we've had to have over the past 18 months.
"We're short. I still think there are two or three players we need to really put an edge to us.
"But I'd rather be in that position at this minute in time and have that bonus that we're going to bring in two or three more players.
"Managers before me have had the great backbone of the old guard but now we are having to rebuild from scratch and it takes time for that transition to kick in."
