Sturrock open to loan offers
12 Sep 2008 - 11:14:27
Plymouth Argyle boss Paul Sturrock is willing to let several fringe first-team players leave the club on loan so that they can gain more experience.
The Pilgrims manager has already allowed Dan Smith to join Morecambe this week and is happy for other youngsters to follow the winger's lead.
"I'm glad Smith's gone out because it will be a big benefit to him," Sturrock told Argyle's official website.
"There are one or two who've being playing reserve football for a few weeks now and it's hard to keep them up to the tempo - five games in a month would be a great benefit to some of them.
"I haven't had anybody approach me with offers for my players. I'd like several of my younger players, and some others, to go out and get much needed match-practice.
"In an ideal world, the likes of Yannick Bolasie and Damien McCrory would get a taste of competitive football."
