Seip pens new Pilgrims deal

Plymouth Argyle defender Marcel Seip has put pen to paper on a new three-year contract at Home Park.

Seip was out of contract at the end of the current season but will now remain with the Pilgrims until 2011.

"Marcel has signed a new contract with the club and everybody is very pleased," manager Paul Sturrock told the club's official website.

"His standard of performance this season has been excellent and you don't want to lose that type of player.

"He wanted to stay here. We are very pleased everything has worked out.

"If you were to look back on the last eight games, he would be one of your top three performers."
