Pilgrims swoop for striker

Plymouth Argyle have signed striker George Donnelly from non-league football for an undisclosed fee.

The 20-year-old frontman has joined the Championship side from Unibond League outfit Skelmersdale.

"It feels great not to have to worry about work and just do what I love doing," the former warehouseman told the club's official website.

"I have watched these players on TV, but I feel I can do well once I get the fitness from the full-time training.

"I want to play a few reserve games and work my way up."
