Pilgrims swoop for Duguid

Plymouth Argyle manager Paul Sturrock has made Colchester United stalwart Karl Duguid his second signing of the summer.
The 30-year-old has spent his entire career at Layer Road but has now opted to pen a contract that will keep him with the Pilgrims until the end of the 2009-10 campaign.
Sturrock told Argyle's official website: I'm very pleased to have Karl on board.
"He's a player who I've seen many times when he's played against my teams and he's always impressed me.
"Karl's a solid player and an honest individual who's got a fantastic engine, and is a versatile player who can play in various positions.
"He has played 80 games in the Championship and can more than handle the level."
