Pilgrims striker still struggling

Plymouth Argyle have confirmed that striker Bradley Wright-Phillips will be out of action until the New Year due to a knee injury.

The 24-year-old former Southampton frontman has made just two appearances as a substitute since joining the Pilgrims in the summer and his recovery has been hampered by a number of setbacks.

Sturrock told the Evening Herald: "We are taking him very, very slowly because of the injury he has.

"There is a marked improvement on the scans, but we just want to make sure of it."

Wright-Phillips started his career with Manchester City, before spending three seasons with the Saints.
