Pilgrims snap up Cathcart

Plymouth Argyle have signed Manchester United's teenage central defender Craig Cathcart on a six-month loan. The 19-year-old has yet to make his first-team debut for the Red Devils, but Pilgrims boss Paul Sturrock has no doubts over Cathcart's potential. He told the club's official website: "Craig's a big centre-half that we've been watching from afar. "He's a good centre-half with good qualities and you don't play for Manchester United if you're not of a very decent standard. "I'm very happy to bring the boy on board and it is up to him to get himself in the team."
