Pilgrims land striker Easter

Plymouth Argyle boss Ian Holloway has finally ended his long-running pursuit of Jermaine Easter after signing the unsettled striker from Wycombe Wanderers.

Easter, 25, has joined the Pilgrims on loan until January with a view to a permanent transfer when the window reopens in the new year.

The Wales international had been frozen out at the League Two club after revealing a desire to play at a higher level last month.

He had been strongly linked with a move to Home Park during the summer.

"He scored 17 goals last year, in a lower division than we are," Argyle manager Ian Holloway told the club's official website.

"But we believe he will be an addition to us and score goals at whichever level he plays.

"Hopefully, he can do it very quickly here. He will throw something different into the mix for us."
