Noone struggling for trip to QPR

Published: 08 Mar 2010 - 14:14:00

Noone was in top form in Saturday's 1-1 draw with Preston following his half-time introduction but, having cannoned a shot off the crossbar in the 89th minute, the livewire winger suffered a stoppage-time leg injury. Fellow midfielder Chris Clark is also an injury doubt following his 54th-minute substitution. Head coach Paul Mariner explained: "The whole of his right side was tight." With central defender Reda Johnson (groin) already ruled out, Mariner may have to make further changes to his starting XI, which included debutant Richard Eckersley - on loan from Burnley - on Saturday. Eckersley will keep his place at right-back with Karl Duguid switching to central midfield. On the flanks, Mariner can choose from Luke Summerfield - recalled on Saturday - Yannick Bolasie or on-loan Blackburn playmaker Alan Judge should Noone and Clark fail to pass fit.
