Curtis Nelson looks set to be the next Plymouth youngster to exit the cash-strapped club after acting chairman Peter Ridsdale admitted several sides were interested in him, including Tottenham. The 17-year-old centre-back, who joined Argyle two years ago after being released by Stoke, has impressed at Home Park since breaking into the first-team this season, making 31 appearances and earning a call-up to England`s Under-18 squad.Nelson is contracted to the Pilgrims until the end of next season, meaning the club will be entitled to some much-needed funds if he follows fellow rookie Jack Stephens out of the exit door. And that looks likely after Ridsdale revealed Nelson was watched by Tottenham representatives when he turned out in the 2-0 defeat at Leyton Orient on Tuesday. He told thisisdevon: "There has been a lot of interest in Curtis. I didn't see who was there from Spurs (on Tuesday) but I was told they had representatives at the game."They are one of a number of Premier League clubs who have been watching him, and I'm not surprised. I think he has been outstanding."Ridsdale added: "In the ideal world, I would want to build the future team around the youngsters. But we are in administration, which is not an ideal world. Also, let's not kid ourselves, if we end up being in League Two and a Premier League club comes knocking on the door you can't refuse a lad the opportunity to go."
