McNamee worries Sturrock

Plymouth Argyle boss Paul Sturrock has voiced his frustration at the continuing injury problems afflicting summer signing David McNamee.

The 27-year-old right-back joined the Pilgrims from Coventry City, but has been restricted to just two substitute appearances due to a leg injury.

Sturrock told the Plymouth Herald: "It would be stupid to take a chance on McNamee coming back too early, but he's on the road to recovery.

"To be fair, the lad has got to start getting a rhythm back to his game and playing football again.

"Too many times he picks up these niggling injuries and it's something we are going to have to try to get to the bottom of. He comes back from one injury and jumps to another one.

"At his age, he has really got to get a rhythm to his work so that he can start playing regularly again."
