Mariner aware of Reading importance

Published: 08 Feb 2010 - 14:17:51

Plymouth head coach Paul Mariner is fully aware of the significance of Tuesday night's Championship clash with basement rivals Reading.Following Saturday's 1-0 home defeat by promotion chasing West Brom, Argyle are second from bottom with 24 points.Reading are third from bottom on 29 points following their 2-1 win at Doncaster. When asked if the game is a must-win match, Mariner replied: "Every single game until the end of the season is exactly that."Like we said on Saturday, team spirit - which is the intangible in football - is 100%. The willingness to work for one another is there for all to see."We know we have to make our own luck but we just need something to go our way. One thing that everybody is assured of in this league is that they are going to get a game when they play us."
