Injury woe for Wright-Phillips

Plymouth Argyle have suffered a blow ahead of their opening Championship game at Crystal Palace on Saturday as Bradley Wright-Phillips has picked up an injury.

The new signing is expected to be missing for around six weeks after picking up a knee injury in a behind-closed-doors match at Exeter City on Tuesday evening.

Twenty-four-year-old Wright-Phillips recently joined the Pilgrims from Southampton and will be disappointed to miss the start of the new campaign.

Meanwhile, Argyle are still locked in talks with Rangers after tabling a bid for Alan Gow and have now contacted Celtic in order to take striker Cillian Sheridan on-loan.
