Eckersley returns to Argyle squad

Published: 19 Mar 2010 - 09:41:00

Eckersley, on loan from Burnley, missed Tuesday's 3-2 victory over Bristol City with a groin injury but is now back in contention and could feature against the Iron. However, Paul Mariner is unlikely to want to change his winning line-up with Chris Clark, who opened the scoring, expected to recover from a leg injury which forced him to be substituted late on. On-loan Fulham goalkeeper David Stockdale (shin) was also injured in the game and did not train on Thursday so Romain Larrieu is on standby. Mariner said: "We are suffering from a few knocks in the camp but hopefully we will be all right come Saturday." Winger Craig Noone (knee), who has been sidelined since inspiring the side to a 1-1 draw at home to Preston on March 6, is again ruled out.
