Easter seals Pilgrims move

Wales international Jermaine Easter has completed his move to Plymouth Argyle after a £210,000 fee was agreed with Wycombe Wanderers for the striker.

Easter has been on loan with the Pilgrims since October and completed the permanent switch, which could rise to £240,000 depending on appearances

The move ends speculation about his future, after an apparent fall-out with manager Paul Lambert over his attitude.

Easter, 25 had stated in the press that he wished to play at a higher level to further his international career.

He told his new club's official website: "I have broken into the international scene and the majority of the Wales lads are already in the Championship and the Premier League.

"I want to be playing at the same level as these boys. I feel that would improve my game."

The frontman attracted attention with performances in the Carling Cup last season, grabbing the winner against Charlton and scoring against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, fuelling speculation of a move to a bigger club.
