Plymouth Argyle defender Paul Connolly believes that his side were well on their way to victory in the FA Cup fifth round before the Rams were reduced to ten men.

The Pilgrims ran out 2-0 winners at Home Park, with the visitors having Darren Moore dismissed 25 minutes from time for a clash with Kevin Gallen.

However, Connolly told the Evening Herald: "To be honest, I think that we totally dominated Derby from start to finish.

"Even though they went down to ten men, I don't think that mattered anyway, as we were on top from the start.

"In the changing room before the game, I could tell that the boys were really up for it and we just carried that attitude out onto the pitch."
