Plymouth Argyle expect striker Nick Chadwick to be for the start of pre-season training next month.
Chadwick and Paul Wotton, who had cruciate knee ligament surgery in January, have been working on their rehabilitation at Home Park throughout the summer and both are close to returning to full fitness.
"Since the final game of last season, they have had a family holiday each and that's it. Otherwise, they have been at the ground day in and day out," physio Paul Maxwell told the Plymouth Herald.
"Nick should be there or thereabouts for the first day of pre-season training. He will be ready to do all the running and we will introduce him gradually through the ball work.
"As for Paul, he's flying at the moment. He's nearly 90 per cent through his rehabilitation programme and we should finish that in the next couple of weeks."
