Capaldi hopes for Pilgrims recall

Tony Capaldi is hoping that Plymouth Argyle manger Paul Sturrock will hand him an instant recall to the first team after he missed the victory at Brentford because of international commitments.

While his club colleagues were completing their first away win at Griffin Park Capaldi was busy representing Northern Ireland Under-21s in Ukraine.

But now after playing in his country's first Under-21 victory for 35 months against Armenia on Tuesday the midfielder hopes to return for the Pilgrims against Luton Town on Saturday.

"I'm fit and available for selection for Saturday but we will have to see what the manager decides to do after a good win on Saturday," he told the Plymouth Evening Herald.

"I'm really enjoying it at Plymouth and I'm looking forward to getting back. It has been a long week and Ukraine wasn't the nicest place to visit."
