Argyle cancel White contract

Plymouth Argyle have terminated the contract of defender Shane White.

The 18-year-old is scheduled to appear at Plymouth Magistrate's Court to answer charges of drink-driving relating to an incident in the city last month.

However, the club have refused to confirm whether their decision to cancel his contract is connected with the incident.

The teenager had not broken into the first team at Home Park after being handed a first professional contract last summer.
