Tranmere 1-0 Plymouth: Report

Jennings lifts Rovers A stunning goal from teenager Dale Jennings was enough to earn Tranmere a 1-0 win over Plymouth. Argyle should have gone ahead in only the second minute when an error let in Bradley Wright-Phillips but keeper Peter Gulacsi blocked the shot. Craig Noone also tested Gulacsi with a 20-yarder midway through the first half while Argyle keeper Romain Larrieu turned away a well-struck effort by Jennings. But Jennings brought fans to live in the 60th minute with a fine run through the Plymouth defence and a cool into the corner from 15 yards. Plymouth rallied and sub Rory Fallon wasted a good chance, home skipper John Welsh cleared Reda Johnson's header off the line and Gulacsi saved superbly from Noone deep into added time.
