The Tokyo-based Shonan Management Corporation, one of the companies owned by Japanese director Yasuaki Kagami, are edging closer to a takeover deal, but in the meantime Sturrock is pressing on with his transfer plans. "I am under a chairman and directors at this minute of time that have made it plain what they want me to do," Sturrock told the Evening Herald. "I am going down that road. Now, if the takeover happens, then there will be another discussion to be had. "At this time we are still soldiering on as far as bringing players here. We are letting them see the place, discuss personal terms and everything else. "Of course it would be an ideal world if it was all over today, but I have been in this position many times to realise it takes a lot longer than that."
