New striker Alan Gow - recently signed from Rangers - marked his full debut for Argyle with a thumping 25-yard free-kick goal in their 3-1 home defeat by Sheffield Wednesday. Gow was paired in an Old Firm strike partnership with on-loan Celtic striker Cillian Sheridan. Sturrock said: "Sheridan and Gow look as though they are going to be a handful. With Bradley Wright-Phillips to come back from injury, we will have three very gifted footballers up front."
