Sturrock plays down Puncheon talk

Puncheon, who spent much of last season on loan at MK Dons after his summer move from Barnet, has been linked with a move away from Home Park. But Sturrock said: "The slate has been cleaned from last season and Jason was in full development last year. I felt it was appropriate to put him out in that league. He played League Two for several seasons and he went out and showed he could handle League One. "He also had several reasonable performances for us when he was in the Championship so his progression is going in the right direction. He has looked very sharp since we came back into training. "Unless somebody slaps me in the face with big money the debate will probably be on the backburner for at least until one or two of the pre-season friendlies when I can make a conscious decision. "We have had no offers for any of my players so we'll wait and see. We have had discussions for many of our players over the last week but none of them have been concrete. They have just been finding out what the scenario is as far as wages and everything else is concerned before they make any decisions."
