Sturrock plays down Haynes talk

It has been speculated the Pilgrims boss is readying an offer in the region of £1million for the promising front man. Roy Keane is expected to be handed a handsome transfer chest at Portman Road and it is thought he could bring in some big name strikers. Haynes has made over 100 appearances at Town since breaking into the Ipswich first team in 2005 but that has not stopped talk of a possible exit. Argyle were mooted as serious suitors but this has now been put to bed by Sturrock. He told the club's official website: "I can assure you that Danny Haynes is not one of the players I am looking at." Meanwhile, the website of French Ligue 2 club Tours claims right-sided midfielder Anthony Robic, 23, is set for a three-day trial with Argyle.
