Sturrock hopes for Sheridan return

Sheridan was sidelined for last Saturday's 2-1 defeat at Derby after suffering a leg injury during the first half of Argyle's 3-1 home loss to leaders Cardiff at Home Park. Sturrock is also hoping ankle injuries suffered by right-back David McNamee and on-loan Blackburn winger Alan Judge sustained at Pride Park will have cleared up, although midfielder Karl Duguid (ankle) is an injury doubt. The Greens boss handed a debut at centre-half to Iceland international Kari Arnason last time out and he is poised to make his first home start. Plymouth, meanwhile, have completed the loan signing of Cardiff right-back Darcey Blake until January 1. The Welsh defender is expected to go straight into the Pilgrims squad for the Wednesday game and will be vying with McNamee for the spot at right-back Blake, 20, who is also a Wales under-21 international Plymouth's official website: "I was expecting to go down a league or to or go up to Scotland, but when Plymouth came in it was brilliant, it's just a chance for me to prove myself."
